The 2009 Macworld convention took place on January 6 in the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, this time without Steven Jobs. This is the thirteenth year that the convention has taken place. The Macworld convention first began in 1985. These yearly conventions were created by Peggy Kilburn to help Mac products expand, allowing the company to profit significantly.
