Should the school cover the extracurricular choices of its students (incidentally by taking more money from said students’ parent’s pockets) or should extracurriculars be just that: extra, requiring the students to pay.

Clovis West has received the 2009 Most Supportive California School award for its efforts in supporting the troops. The award from the Yellow Ribbon America Campaign was given in Sacramento for the dedication of sending Christmas cards for the troops in the Middle East. Student Activities Specialist Rosie Reed represented Clovis West in recognition of her efforts with the organization for the past few years.

After a revamping of the system, advisory periods have moved from Tuesdays to Wednesdays, and to maintain balance, staff meetings have been moved from Fridays to Thursdays.

Golfers swing to victorious season

The girls golf team returns to school ready for another year of competition. Totaling 18 girls, the team is complete from a new freshman to the four returning seniors, Jamie Thomas, Asia Adell, Morgan Thomas and Alison Ross, who have been on varsity since they were freshmen.
