San Joaquin Valley Student Press Association First Place
The girls golf team returns to school ready for another year of competition. Totaling 18 girls, the team is complete from a new freshman to the four returning seniors, Jamie Thomas, Asia Adell, Morgan Thomas and Alison Ross, who have been on varsity since they were freshmen.
The Clovis West girls volleyball team is currently working hard to take on another challenging season.
The girls tennis team started its league play against Central on September 17 but the score was not available at the time of print. The team beat Sunnyside 8-1 September 15.

The Clovis West Eagles may as well change their name to the Clovis West Champions after a successful fall sport season. This year four of the six teams took the Valley Championship title.

Clovis West girls volleyball team will face off one of their toughest games on November 20 against Liberty High School from Bakersfield for the title of valley champions at a home game. On November 13, Clovis West girls dominated Bullard in three games at home in the semi-finals. At the time, the Eagles were ranked number one while Bullard ranked nine in the valley.

Tonight the Golden Eagle football team is poised going into their playoff bout against Liberty of Bakersfield at Lamonica Stadium, after finishing the regular season with three straight wins. The boys faced Liberty their first game of the season winning 22-19.
